When you leave Japan, you are required to present your tax-free purchases to customs at the airport. Japanese customs will then issue a "Green" status judgment on your purchases.
After your purchases receive a "Green" status from customs, you have 180 days to submit your tax refund application through Ocean.
If 180 days pass after the Green status is issued and you have not yet submitted your application, your refund request will no longer be eligible for processing.
